Research works 1. SNP
genotyping--- The SNP technique is used to investigate the genotypes of meat quality
and reproductive traits of 2. Est sequencing and cDNA
Microarray--- We investigate the EST sequences in porcine and chicken. More
than 80 thousands of EST sequences have been analyzed for bioinformatics
analysis. Some students investigate the differential gene expression in
animals using microarray technique. 3. DNA
polymorphisms--- Animal RAPD, RAMPO, AFLP of genomic DNA are
investigated. We have found some novel animal species and sex-specific
sequences; it can be used for the species and gender determination. 4. Mitochondrial
DNA--- The D-loop region and complete mtDNA
sequences in domestic animals are investigated. 5. Gene manipulation---- Gene cloning, construction and transfer into Ecoli, yeast, mammalian cells to check gene expression or introduce the fusion genes into mouse embryos to produce transgenic mice. |
