Announcement: Application for Direct Admission to the Ph.D. Program for M.S. Students, Department of Animal Science, Academic Year 2026–2027 (115 Academic Year)
  1. Applications shall be processed in accordance with the Regulations Governing Direct Admission to the Ph.D. Program of the Department of Animal Science.
  2. Outstanding graduating undergraduate students of the Department and master's students who have completed at least one year of study and demonstrate excellent academic performance and research potential may apply for direct admission to the Ph.D. program.
  3. The admission quota for direct entry into the Ph.D. program for the 2026–2027 academic year is one (1) student.
  4. Applicants shall submit the following documents to the Department Chair within the specified application period:
        (1) Application Form for Direct Admission to the Ph.D. Program (available for download from the Registration Section).
        (2) Official transcript and class ranking certificate for the first year of the master's program, as well as undergraduate transcripts and class ranking certificate.
        (3) Three letters of recommendation, one of which must be provided by the applicant’s thesis advisor or academic advisor.
        (4) Study Plan.
        (5) Any other supporting documents that may assist in the evaluation process.
  1. All applicants are required to attend an oral examination, which includes an oral presentation of their study plan.
  2. The final score will be calculated as follows:
    • Oral Examination: 50%
    • Review of Application Documents and Supporting Materials: 50%
Applicants who achieve a total score of at least 70 points or above the average score will be considered for admission based on merit ranking.
  1. The application schedule is as follows:
       (1) Application Deadline: July 13 (Monday).
       (2) Oral Examination Date: To be announced after the application deadline.
